Entering from the driveway, the first building is a garage and office made from a shipping container and traditional materials, it is designed to match the bold home standing out from behind and it adds depth to the property.
This beautiful home has 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a separate office attached to the garage which could make a 4th bedroom if required. The master bedroom has an ensuite and a large balcony.
The house’s exterior and interior finishes can completely cover the shipping container walls or it can simply be painted to show off its industrial look. The black and white add to the bold and modern look of the home, the black paint used on this custom container home has little impact on the thermal rating due to the interior insulation used.
By having large sliding concertina doors we have been able to open up the home and blend the lines between inside and out, perfect for the sunny Sydney afternoons and warm evenings.
The containers were fully completed in the factory and installed onsite, from the time the containers arrived to completion, including landscaping was only 6 weeks.
